Needed a rest day

Monday, September 16, 2019

After I woke up this morning to awful noises outside i discovered that the people across the intersection from me were having their house torn down. The do plan on building a new one but it's going to be weeks of early morning noises. So I got up early did all the morning crap and decided I needed a nap about 10 am. So I took one.

Then I spent a good part of the afternoon just like most of the town out on my porch watching the show. Most people walked over with coffee cups in hand but I just stayed on my porch.

At least it was relaxing. I also wanted another nap about 4 this afternoon but didn't take that one. I just really didn't do anything other than wash my clothes from the weekend. I did fiddle with some of the quilt rows because they need a little bit of sashing between them to make them all the same size. So I cut up some polka dotted material to do that.

I even cooked a real dinner with veggies and pork roast. I know amazing because it was really hot and muggy out today.

Thank fulls
1. Watching my neighbors watch the show across the street.
2. just doing nothing after all that driving and being lost
3. Buck and I had a really good play time this evening. He's learning how to dance.

I will have to go to town in the morning but it will be early. I'll also stop and get the car washed while I'm in town. it's not a big shopping trip but needed. Then I can come back home to my AC and get the center rows all finished and quilted tomorrow. I might even get the 9th row started. I will post photos as I go along here.

We spent a year with early morning noises last year when they were building on the lot right next to us. For what it's worth, eventually I was able to just tune out the sound of equipment backing up and earth-moving equipment, nails being hammered and radios!

My, that is some noise to get up to a house being torn down. Entertaining when outside watching the tear down, but early loud noise does not set well, as generally i am sleeping at 8 A.M.
I sure am interested on seeing the progress done to finish the ice cream quilt, sassing with a polka dot material sounds lovely.
Seems like hubby and I spend more time at the grocery store than anywhere else. His check will be coming for the month now so it will be time to head over to the grocery store once again. Couple of stores have started taking orders over the phone, you can pick the order up the next day or they will deliver. Today at our wives of the golfers morning coffee one of the gals knows several women who use the service. She said the store charges about 30 % more for someone to fill the order, $5. for fee, and $5. if they deliver the groceries to you. This would work for people who can't leave their home much, gave up their drivers license.
