Today was my first weigh in for my goal to lose 10lbs in 30 days!
A week in and only 22 more days until our trip to Hawaii!
Good news but not great news - I lost 1 lb! In order to meet my goal I need to lose 2lbs a week, but 1 makes me very happy! I know my goal is a stretch goal, so I'm happy with progress either way!
More importantly - I'm sticking to my plan!
-Last week I worked out 5 days, and this week I'm on track to do so again! I missed my workout Sunday morning so I worked out after work Monday. I had to go help a friend pack for her upcoming move last night, so I was up at 6:30am biking a 10k on my stationary bike! It set me up for a wonderful day and kept my goal on track!
-I've cut out a LOT of alcohol. I had a few glasses of wine last Wednesday, but tracked it and kept within my calorie goals. I had a few *really just a few* too many Thursday night watching football and a few too many Saturday night with my husband and neighbor - but I haven't drank any other day until last night where once again I had a few glasses of wine and tracked it within my goals. When drinking I'm sticking to low calorie and carb drinks like I try to do. I plan to not drink during football tonight. I'm proud of myself I didn't drink during football Sunday or Monday as my Steelers played Monday night! Crappy food and beers are something I usually do during football - so I'm differently going in the right direction!
-I've kept up my 8 glasses or more of water the entire time! I always used to be great at it, and i'm happy I'm getting back in to it!
-I've been logging my food! NOW I will admit I didn't log EVERYTHING this weekend - and that's where I definitely had a *little* bit of a slide. I did much better than I usually do, and I did log some of the food, but there is definitely room for improvement.
On a completely separate and unrelated note - today is my dogs birthday! Happy Birthday Dr. Loomis! (aka cat dog, banana bread, bread loaf, baby stank breath, loomy-goomy, seal pup, mamaws boy) You are my best friend and the love of my life! Though your cataracts are worse, your belly bigger, your breath stinkier and you're becoming more of a curmudgeon - I couldn't have done these last 14 years without you!
