I figured out the problem of Frank's birthday present. He has traumatic cerebral palsy, so in his name I made a contribution to United Cerebral Palsy of Northern California. He's very loving and caring, so I know he'll approve.
Meantime, my niece Manda posted a new picture today of my great-niece Angie. She just started middle school, but she looks so grown-up! Great-auntie bragging time: she's an honor student, a soccer star and a talented musician. She also has a razor-sharp sense of humor and seems to have inherited the smart-(aleck) gene from both parents. She's growing up WAY too fast.
Also, my friend Lauren just had a gorgeous baby girl named Lilly. I knitted a blanket for her, and Lauren just posted a picture. A member of one of the knitting groups I belong to on Facebook said, "She's a perfect pink Lilly in her green Lilly pad." I love that!
My roommate transferred out yesterday and the bed hasn't been reassigned yet, so I slept like a rock last night. I just took some Ativan (anti-anxiety), so hopefully I can relax enough to get some knitting done.
