I am in my fourth week of multi-departmental training for my job and my brain is on system overload! LOL I absolutely LOVE my job and even though I'm receiving a multitude of new information, I am happy that I will be able to do more within the company!

Over the weekend I completed my first assignment for my "Basic Attending" class. (It's a counseling course) It was an assignment on observing body language, eye contact, and language cues. It was actually quite fun! My sweetheart and I went to Panera Bread and I ordered a plum hibiscus ginger iced tea. It was the only sugar-free one I could find and it was pink and delicious! My beau got boring old coffee emoticon So many people there are writing, on their phones, on tablets, etc that it was a place I felt confident that I could observe people without drawing attention to myself. I was able to observe four different tables of people and took plenty of notes for my assignment.

It's so weird being back in school at 49 years old. I went to college right out of high school. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I started as a music major. Then I became a journalism major. I finally landed with a major in English Language and Literature - and with less than a year to finish, met my husband and left school to get married and have children. That is what I wanted to do! I became a Medical Assistant through a course when I was 27 and then on to a Medical Transcriptionist. ANYWHO - long story short - now that I am back in school, nothing I did back then transfers because it is beyond OLD.

I'm taking 2 classes to see if I am interested in continuing to further my education. I'm praying about it and don't plan to make any impulsive decisions. My work will pay for schooling - up to a master's degree! I don't plan on going to school for that long, lol, but it really has me thinking about finally achieving a bachelor's degree.

After working a bit of overtime tonight, my older daughter and I are going to my dad's house. We are going to play Uno with him, my sisters, and my nephew. He received Minecraft Uno for his birthday last week.

Since the weather has started to change here in the Detroit area, I've started drinking hot tea every morning. I love hot tea! I've been drinking different chai teas using Stevia and sugar-free pumpkin spice creamer. Yum. Next grocery shop I will get some sf vanilla creamer and some vanilla chai tea bags. That is another one of my favorites.

Oh! Exciting news. I purchased a couple of pairs of jeans for fall/winter and I am down another size! The jeans I wore last winter are so loose that I can pull them off without unbuttoning or unzipping! These things really encourage me to keep pushing on. When you weigh as much as I do - it takes a LONG TIME to go down a clothing size! It's not like when you are smaller and lose 30 pounds and go down 5 sizes lol. It took nearly 60 pounds to go down 2 jeans sizes. And I am STILL only down 1 shirt size. So that's why it's such a huge deal to me! I haven't seen this size pants in a long time emoticon

I hope everyone has a great day!
