Pushed right through....

Today is the 12th of October. My husband and I have been married for 17 years! I can't believe it's been that long. My son went to Nanna's house and we went out for a nice dinner. We're going to be watching some movies later.

I was feeling lazy today. I had no intentions on working out. I was going to skip it today because it was our anniversary. My husband said 'you don't need to work out today, take the day off'. My mom said 'just don't do it'. So I said to myself, I'm not going to work out. But then I get to thinking... 'I really should work out, I'd feel better, and then I won't have to make it up later in the week.' So my husband went outside to take care of something on the car, and I just got dressed and started working out. My husband comes in and says 'I thought you weren't going to work out today?'. "Well I changed my mind" I said. So bottom line, I'm so glad I worked out and I feel proud of myself for doing what I know I needed to do.

Being a mom it's really hard most days to put myself first. I've explained this to my son, he's 11. He understands that I need to do this for my health. I usually work out as soon as I get home from work, so I usually put dinner in the oven so it can cook while I'm working out. And my son will sit there sometimes and chat with me while I exercise. I'm so glad that my son gets it. I just wish some days that my husband was on board more. But I'll take what I can get, and focus on the positive.

So even though I had no intention on working out today, I did it. And I'm happy I did!
