The last week in October I have to work 2, 4 hour days and 4 10 hour days. I am extremely unhappy about this. I will try to get some sort of exercise since I don't have to do 12 hours days, but I still have an extra trip. I lose 2 hours a day in travel. yeah I know they pay me lots of money and I should be grateful to have a good job with great benefits. But I am mad. I have such little life as it is and exercise keeps me sane. So I have to cut back on exercise. I will have lots of pain. With that come swelling and water retention. Those are temporary. I will stay on my calorie plan and prep food for the week. I am going to take sanity walks on my breaks so i should be able to add up to 30 to 40 minutes of walking. Even though I am no my feet all shift the extra work doesn't make up for my treadmill steps. Plus steal toe shoes stink. I did 12 hours on Friday so I only did 15 minutes on treadmill yesterday. Today I did 70 on treadmill and 36 strength. I have to fast for blood work. So now I have to worry all night about my sugar going too low. Plus not eating for 12 hours is not my plan. so I have to remember to bring a snack. If not the grocery store is right next to doctor. Doctor appointment next week and it should be a good one

Struggled with the same for years, Deb. Lost 2 hours a day to commuting. As the Wise OLDEROWL says, take care of yourself, do what you can, and please find some stress releases. And save that "good money" they're paying you! My life is so much better without that commute, and job, now!

Put money in savings or investment. Do what you can, but be sure to get 7-8 hours of sleep. No stress. Go with the flow.

Wow! At least you can get some walking breaks. Walking always helps reduce my stress levels. I hope your blood work comes back good
