Who knew how upside down new hours could make a life - 3 weeks in and still trying to find the flow.
It's OK but trying to find the balance is amusing, interesting and a little annoying all rolled into one.
Pretty much get my exercise in AT WORK of all places, but I'm actually loving that!! So different than before. Very easy going atmosphere which is so very different than how it was explained and I guess that people really have no idea about what strict, professional, irate and to some degree, responsible actually are. It's kind of refreshing, actually. I'm sure it'll be same old, same old in no time.
Not much time for blogging while trying to find that sweet spot of sleep, house, work and travel, but I'm hoping it all evens out.
Finding (my own) solutions to ergonomic issues has been challenging and not without some success. Hopefully most of those will disappear once I get my own desk/chair/equipment and storage which is "on the horizon". Pfffft...
Watching the chickadees at the feeder trying to oust the chipmunks who have figured out how to jump from the arbor to the new feeder place without falling. It was fun watching that learning experience hit home, but they finally figured it out. I don't want to shoo them; winter's coming and they really do need food as much as the birds; moreso since they won't be coming out in the winter at all.
On the other hand I do worry that there's this huge chipmunk underground city and I'll wake up one morning step outside and sink!
The black capped chickadees are really very patient despite their frenetic behavior and I love watching and listening to them. They and at least one pair of cardinals have been visiting more this week.
Geese are flocking and meeting up but so far, no ducks. That's actually kind of a good sign.
I'm waiting for the juncos, though... They are my favorite late year birds. Not seeing them gives me hope that winter may not come all that early, after all. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
