"Thank yourself for achieving the things you often take for granted"
That's a nice one, isn't it?
I'm feeling particularly good at the moment - that might be due to the fact that I only worked one day this past week: I had last weekend as days off, then two days off sick, then one day at work, then two days off! I'm not complaining! I've had about six days off sick from work in the last three years. I'm working this coming weekend.
Thank me! for making me three scrumptious, nutritious meals today!
Thank me! for planning the next week's menus!
Thank me! for ticking almost everything of my list today!
Thank me! for carrying out my Spark commitments!
Thank me! for getting the shopping done with the last few pennies of the week!
Thank me! for making two pretty birthday cards for my sister and my sister-in-law!
I've just started to study for an essay I have to submit in January - I found the perfect notebook for my jottings! I knew I wanted an A4, ruled, spiral-bound notebook, and found this by rummaging in the pile in The Works - found it hiding underneath the Unicorns!
I really enjoyed making birthday cards for my sister and my sister-in-law (whose birthdays are at the very beginning of November) using fragments of artwork I'd done myself at the 'intuitive painting' workshops. Pretty good colours for two Scorpio women I think? The one on the left is for my sister (it has some little pink hearts on the backing paper - because she needs the love).
I've been thinking about my jeans-only wardrobe recently, and looking on-line for ideas for dresses and shoes (in case I am invited to a party or a meal out etc!) I was thinking maybe I'd just get some skinny jeans with sparkles down the seams, and a pretty top.
But I did find this dress (it's by Seasalt, who have a shop in town). It's not a very clear picture, but it has a kind of boat neckline, and two pockets, made of a heavy organic cotton jersey.
I also found this in a blog I read today -
"Whether you favour dresses in bold colours or patterns, have unconsciously amassed a collection of crisp white shirts or live in blue jeans, the key is to stick to what you love, buy the best that you can afford and wear it well."
This inspired me to stick to my jeans uniform, but to perhaps buy better quality jeans, and make the most of them!
This is another one that will probably be illegible on Spark People ......... it's an alphabetical self-care poster - you use your name to choose which things to do. Mine would be
G = drink 3 glasses of water
I = write down 3 things you're proud of
L = (x2) watch something that makes you smile
you can see it on Instagram (hopefully)
Also....... I made a start on the linings for my curtains, and the job isn't anywhere near as tricky as I'd anticipated. They'll soon be done - I'm quite excited!
