Re-set, Re-align, Re-start

I joined SP about 1 1/2 years ago and actually weigh more today. It's very discouraging but I have learned some things along the way. This is a journey that I'll remain on for the rest of my life. It's not easy to make life-style changes but I've developed some better habits. I still have hurdles to get over but I'm looking over my goals and when I hit a bump in the road I will re-align them. I'm hitting the re-set button. Instead of beating myself up I'm looking at the positives in each day. I wake up each morning and take time to pray (I certainly can't do this alone). Eating a healthy breakfast gives me the energy I need for the morning. I try to get a fruit and vegetable in because I struggle with getting enough vegetables and fiber in. Instead of committing to 20 minutes of exercise every day I will strive for a minimum of 10 minutes 5 days so extra is 'gravy'. lf I can get in some daily chores like cleaning or yard work I'll be adding to my steps. My Fitbit has really been helpful and the little vibrating reminders to move throughout the day make me smile and give me a little push.
Reading a motivational quote in the morning is helpful so here is mine for this week:
That's much better than feeling like I have been:
I'm taking one day at a time and will not give up!
