Today I have read at least 3 articles that talk about being skinny. I have never been skinny in my adult life. I have weighed less and been thinner but skinny is not in my wheelhouse. Even when young I was not skinny. As a teenager, I was not skinny. And, of course, as an adult I spent most of my time trying to become ‘skinny’, without realizing I was a healthy size 10 and skinny was probably not achievable for me.

So seeing Skinny in the headline of all those articles led me to do this blog. Because “skinny” should not be the goal. Being thinner, healthier, and more in tune with a lifestyle that promotes those things is what we should be shooting for with our journey,

However, healthy now that’s what I AM shooting for. My journey is leading to a healthy, sustainable weight. Once I achieve that what size I wear in clothing won’t matter. The numbers that will are the ones that show I have achieved good health. That’s where I want my journey to conclude. Good health numbers and a lifestyle to support then.

That is what will make my journey a success.
