I'm so exciited that I have had a chance to read some more.
So here is what I read last in October:
"All the Single Ladies" was a good, easy read. "Ruthless" was okay. Neither of those were books that I got excited about. I love reading a book that I hate to put down, one that when I wake up I cannot wait to get ahold of it to read more. Neither of these fit that. However, I did get lucky and find some of these books.
If you haven't read the "Creed" series, I highly recommend it. I love Alex Kava and the series about Creed is wonderful. "Desperate Creed" did not disappoint. Creed works with his scent dogs finding people, sometimes alive sometimes not. This particular book was set in Alabama when tornadoes were hitting. I happened to read this during two days when Georgia was getting slammed with rain so I may have been a little too wrapped up in this book, sitting by the window watchign the sky darken and hearing the rain hit the panes. Still it was a good book and I hated to put it down. Sometimes life just gets in the way of my reading time!
"Connections in Death" was good but nothign spectacular. I do love this series in audio form but just cannot find a love of the books when reading them for some reason.
"Barely Legal" is a spin off from the Stone Barrington series. Good but, again, nothing spectular.
"Huskies" I read as a refresher since we got a new puppy in September. Our 12 year old Husky had a stoke and we had to say goodbye in March. Now we have our hands full with a puppy, Klondike. She is 4 months old.
I got our of order on this one and read "Almost Dead" which is Book 2 to the Cahill series. Great book. I've backed up and am currently reading the first book. I hate it when I start a series out of order!
"The Last Widow" . . . OMG! This is one of my most favorite authors. She's a Georgia author and I love that her books are set in Georgia in towns and neighborhoods that I'm familiar with. This Will Trent series is wonderful and he's one of those fictiional characters that I'm totally in love with. lol If you like detective type books this is a great series but you MUST read them in order. Will Trent is a GBI agent. I think, if I remember correctly, the series starts as a Grant County series.
Are you a runner? Are you a big size runner? "Beautiful Work in Progress" is by Marina Valerio that writes the blog "Fat Girl Running". I ran my first 12 hour endurance run last month. I commented on a FB page that I was the largest runner there and a lady sent me the link to a video clip of Valerio. What an inspiration!
"All Summer Long" is a good, easy read. One of those I call beach-time reads because little or no thought is required.
"Mennonite in a Little Black Dress" was so funny. I laughed so hard while reading it.
"The A List" is one of the Ali Reynolds series and while it's an okay book it wasn't one of my favorites in the series.
And that's what I read in October.
What did you read?
