Physiology versus psychology

Good morning friends.. now we wait.. I sit here today at a crossroads.. counting down the days until my grand baby arrives, but not wanting to wish away the time either.. which means I need to make sure my days are filled with wonderful things.. cause time flies when you're having fun...
So the day after the big announcement from WW and I see such excitement all around me. I am truly hopeful that having multiple choices will bring much more success for everyone since you can choose the plan that fits you or fits the way you approach it. I also know there may also be a possibility that it may cause more difficulty.. If you switch to the plan that you were sure was right for you and don't get immediate results, will it cause more concern? Will people move too freely from plan to plan not giving it enough time to provide the desired results?
I find myself reading all the different posts.. So many happy people.. I can eat (fill in the blank again).. but the truth is you could always have eaten (blank)... the food itself is the same food it was on Saturday.. but your mindset has changed about it..
Physiology has to do with the body, psychology has to do with the mind. A healthy lifestyle is achieved through a balance of psychology and physiology..
I learned quite some time ago that despite point values and charts and limits imposed by whatever plan I was using to initially chart my path, that I needed to trust my own instincts and knowledge about my body and use that as my compass rather than what the instructions on paper told me.
I wish you much success and happiness as we venture down this ever changing road to our healthiest selves. I generally don't like to give advice unless specifically asked, but I recommend that you pay a little more attention to how the food you are eating impacts your body, your level of energy, your feeling of fullness, how it satisfies your palette and a little less about the number of points.
PS for me here is where the psychology came in.. since I had to pick a team.. I went where my heart lies... was there ever any doubt? And if you're wondering this is from last year, I did not go back to my old hair color!
Go team go!!!!
