My Problems vs Other People's Problems

Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Each person has to carry around their own problems or burdens, We may all think that ours are exclusive to us and for the most part they are. Some people have the same kind of handicaps as many other people. But your handicap is individual to you..

I remember several years back our minister had a group of people over for snacks and a chat. One lady in the group shared a problem she was going through. A second lady spoke up and said lady one's problem was nothing and she could handle it immediately. I was sad at lady 2 response. Our minister handled it properly.

If I handed someone my burdens, they might say my burdens were nothing and could be easily handled by them. Also, if they handed me their problems, I would probably say their problems were nothing and I could quickly take care of those problems.

Problems/burdens are individual. Sometimes it would be nice if we could swap problems and let the other person handle something they thought was nothing. But that is not how life is.

I remember my Mother saying if someone would swap problems with us, after we saw theirs, we would probably be begging for ours back.

Too bad we can't dump our problems off somewhere and not get them back.

Wishing all a stress free, problem free and burden free day.
Blessings.

Reminds of the song, "Walk a Mile in My Shoes". It's always easier being on the outside looking in.

We all have our own. There are times i want to share not to be fixed but be supported. I learned to close off and avoid women bible studies because of that.

We can't solve other people's problems, but a dose of compassion costs nothing and may (or may not) make it easier for others to cope. People with no compassion for others frequently have no compassion for themselves either, which is sad.
