Produced by the BBC Natural History Unit. They filmed for 5 years, the first to be filmed in high definition & at the time was the most expensive documentary ever made. I didn’t watch all of the series - too much clash with work. It is beautifully done. There has also been Planet Earth 2, & I’ve seen preview snippets of a new one coming out next month. (Yay!) There have been other documentaries about Earth.
