This morning I whooped as I saw the number on the scale. It will probably swing up again because that's how my body works but today it was less than 220 for the first time in 17 years. I started this round of my weight loss plan at 245. My goal was really to get to ten percent loss by December 4th when my family and I return to the States for the Christmas Season. That goal was 220.5 total for a loss of 24.5 pounds. My kids have noticed and spoken about the loss, my husband, the man of very few words, has talked about how much smaller I am. Only ONE other person in my life has commented on it but I know that will change as my friends in the States get to see me in person for the first time since January. They always think that I'm thinner than they remember and this time I REALLY am.
I've been logging faithfully and trying to get exercise in since July 1st. That's 136 days. I've had a few days when my log hasn't been pretty but I KNOW that consistency is the key.
My main purpose in writing this blog is to remind myself later...when I'm not losing like I want to lose that I am making progress even when it feels too slow.
