8 ... 8 ugh ... my body won't do it

Sunday, November 17, 2019

8 cups of water
8 hours of sleep

My body won't do it.
I use a fit bit tracker to record my sleep and I regularly get seven hours of sleep, most days waking before my alarm. I can't make it do more.

I struggle with water too. Even if it is only beverage I have six is my max with very few exceptions (100 degree day working in yard all day). After six I feel bloated and full, not just stomach but hands and all feel full and uncomfortable.

I wish I could get spark streaks for what I can do.
I suppose I could count my bedtime routine which is an hour long and fudge that haha
I could lie about the water too but that's not my style.

My plan, remove the goals and move on.
Create my own goals for what I can do and track that.

Have a happy day :0)

It’s not written in stone...we are all different. should a 200 pound 6 footer at 40 do the sane as a 65 year old who weighs 140. No !!! Same with the 10,000 step rule. It’s an ideal, not a strict rule. Adjust the goal and readjust as you go along.

You are still doing better than some with 6. Be patient with yourself.

I also use a Fitbit tracker to see about my sleep. I don’t think I’ve ever made it to eight. My average is about six. I try. I go to be by ten, get up at seven, but I wake up a lot for bathroom calls (glad I DO!) Anyway, I feel this with you.

For getting in more water, do you distribute it throughout the day, or make a conscientious effort to drink a bunch of cups all at once? Just wondering.

I’ve got a long list of goals here on Spark—easy ones like 5+ veggies/fruits per day, or keeping up with my step count (goal is set by you.) I hope you know there are lots of choices. I’m a bit OCD about my “streaks,” so I can relate to how you feel about this, too.

I hope you sleep well tonight.
