Just Doing my Thing

Saturday, November 23, 2019

Worked on one of the wedding quilts for my friend and cleaned in the kitchen. That was about all my energy. Sure found lots of things to throw away in that kitchen. I think tomorrow I'm going to take the short ladder in there and clear off those top shelves. Some of that stuff has been up there for years. There are other things than food that should be on those top shelves.

Fran I'm so glad your finger isn't getting in the way too much. How long do you need the splint on it?

Finished off my chicken and stuffing with veggies for lunch and then settled on tomato soup with crackers for dinner. I think that all qualifies for my veggies for the day along with some frozen peaches for a snack. It was a good day food wise but my portions were too big. That is a big struggle for me.

Thank fulls
1. A dog that turns into a log with legs when you put a coat on him.
2. paper to make lists on ..... they do help when you look at them too
3. a nice clean kitchen sink

Tomorrow won't be any more exciting than today was. I'll sew a bit and try to clean a bit and let the dog in and out. I lead such an exciting life.

Be grateful you have so little stress in your life. I'm looking forward to enjoying my retirement once I get past this upcoming move, if I can get the rest of the decluttering & packing done.

I am not sure how long I will need to wear the splint, hopefully, will get some indication Wednesday when I see the surgeon. Also go to get started with hand therapy, or get fitted for a splint for hand therapy the doctor wants. Of course my medical does not pay for the special splint, and it will be out of pocket somewhere in $200 or so. They get you coming or going with what they think you need. If it is helpful then it will be worth the money though. I did run into problems with squaring off material today, this bandage and splint are so huge, that it gets in the way. Some day will see what happens when I try to sew, hopefully in the next day or two.
Nice that you were able to work on one of the wedding quilts today, Getting one done will push you to do the other one then too. So much easier than being under the gun to get them done.
DSo does Duke like wearing his coat? Don't think our furry fir baby would enjoy one, and I wouldn't be happy trying to catch her to get it one, as the little stinker runs when she doesn't want to be bothered. Putting a coat on her would be a royal battle I do think.
Have a nice day tomorrow doing whatever you decide to work one, or read etc.

LOL - your life sounds like most of us! We wouldn't say we did anything special or exciting, but we really ENJOY our time and how we spend it!
