Yesterday at TOPS I was thrilled with my weigh-in. Despite my overindulgence at the party Saturday, my weight stayed the same. My simple recovery plan worked very well - less food, more exercise, more sleep, daily weigh-ins, and nutrition tracking.
TOPS I was 'star of the month' for November when I lost 3.6 pounds. In the first meeting of the month, we each bring a piece of fruit for a fruit basket, and the 'star of the month' wins it. I have lost 13 pounds since I joined TOPS in June, so I got my 10-pound pin.
Last night we met our friends in Bellingham for a pub dinner before going to the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. I had craft beer and a chicken Ceasar salad, which was very light - mysteriously flavored with no oily dressing, 6 croutons, and some shaved parmesan on top.
We took the dogs along and walked them before dinner, before the theatre and again during intermission, so I got 11,600 steps.
At puppy socialization Monday night, again so much happiness for the puppies and the people. Everyone talks with the puppies and pets them so they get used to new people. The puppies frisk about chasing each other. Rebel loves the veterinarian, and happily runs to her whenever she comes into our play area. The vet says lots of dogs love her... but I didn't see another puppy follow her around kissing her LOL. It's a feel-good hour.
Sunday to Tuesday has gone well, and now is I have a VERY challenging day. I have a Christmas lunch with my club (ordering off of menu) and in the evening my sorority has a home-cooked turkey Christmas dinner. I am taking dessert - carrot cake and a fruit salad. I wanted to take dessert so I had some semblance of control over the meal. I recently had a carrot cake so I likely can skip it, but I will have a cup of fruit salad. I will follow the buffet rules.
