Don't Give Up 12/6
Friday, December 06, 2019
For the Month of December, I decided to blog each day on a ‘famous’ person who failed but never gave up. I hope everyone can use these as examples on why we should never give up on our weight loss journey and use them as a bit of inspiration to us all.
While you struggle day-in and day-out towards the fulfillment of your hopes and your dreams, know this: “If there is no struggle there is no progress.” When faced with a challenge, sometimes you have to think smarter and adjust course. But often what it takes is sheer determination and perseverance. It never hurts to be reminded that failure and rejection are minor speed bumps on the road to success.
Person 5 - Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison's teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything." He was fired from his first two jobs for being "non-productive." As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps."
What a different perspective...we all can use a dose of that.
