babysat my DD's kids last night

Monday, December 09, 2019

good Morning. It was fun - I brought over a Legos kits to put together. My GS was over tired - he got upset during the Legos. My GD was simply wonderful. Dh was not in the greatest mood b/c of our DS situation. Grandpa was reading to the GK's. I get a call from DS- DIL has thrown him out of the house and he is once again on his way to our house. DIL through his keys to our house out on their front lawn when it was dark. He had to crawl around to find them. This is unbelievable. I think my DIL is really manic in her behavior. She is supposed to be taking bipolar meds - I think she must not be taking them now. DS says his counselor's husband died unexpectedly and she is on grievance leave until sometime in January. We came home after babysitting wiped out. I do not have the Christmas spirit like I have only a few days ago. I talked to DH on the way back home - we need to really not let all this chaos in DS's life interfere with what progress we made in our relationship. It is hard when a 30 year old is still struggling in life. Who would want that for their son? His wife will not let him see his daughter. I gave DS a couple gifts for our GD, but his wife did not even let him give the presents to his daughter b4 she started screaming and through him out. I do not have any answers and my prayers are many but I do not see any progress from either of them. DIL does not care about her daughter or she would want the best for her. The best for that little girl of 2 would be to be a grandma's house with peace and decorated for the holidays. I would just hold her and tell her how much she is loved. Using children as a weapon against another is not fair and simply wrong. But it happens all the time, what a shame for this world. Children are our future. My DD and husband are doing something right by their kids. emoticon emoticon

Prayers don't always have a visual effect. Don't underestimate the power of prayers. I will add your son to my prayer list. It is such a shame when parties don't want to work out issues and just cause more strife!

My heart just breaks hearing about this. Truly heartbreaking for your DS but even more so for your dear granddaughter. **SIGH** That's such a huge problem w/mental illness . . . . they get to 'feeling better' and quit the meds and are back in the soup again. It is unbelievable that she could be so cruel to her daughter and your son. **SIGH** Will say prayers, as well.

HUGS to you and may God provide peace!

I am glad that you did have a good time w/your other grandkids. That's a blessing.
