Winter is COMING!

Monday, December 09, 2019

I should say winter is here but it just got here about a week ago' It is cold an slippery for sure. I just walked down to get the mail in and there is ice all over the top of the lawn. UGH. But I am so thankful to be back to normal again and I can navigate really well....just like the OLD me. I have truly worked hard to get well. I am going to stop in one day soon and show the doctor who samed my life and my body to shop him just how "normal" I am now.

The next thing I wanted to share with all of you that you helped me with and certainly were praying with us about. My sister-in-law that died suddenly of a stroke while in a drug store and I asked for the prayers. I can't thank you enough. She was more like my SISTER than SIL. She and her hubby (brother-in-law) were the closest people to us. It has been a huge shock for all of us. Especially their kids and grandkids.

Life has been extremely busy for us for weeks and I hope it settles down soon.

But all the prayers I had asked you for for BIL have helped him tremendously. The pain will never be gone of course but so many of us love him so much he will make it now. He had thought of giving up preaching at their church but has settled down and we are all awaiting the answer to this one. Please help us pray for Bill to make the right decision for the church and himself.

One more thing I wanted to share is about me. You have all heard the story about what I went through in 2017 with the Sepsis I and and crazy things that that caused. I want you to know that I have worked so hard to get back to normal that I am now NORMAL!!! I walk correctly and because of that I have been losing weight again and feeling pretty good! Actually excellent!

We may not be close in proximity, but it is so nice to know that when the chips seem down there is always someone on spark that is willing and able to help. One of my friends even offered to drive 50-60 miles north of her home to come and help us during that awful time. Thank you so much PICKIE98 emoticon we have met before and I know we will meet again when things get settled down and warmer! Spark friends are the emoticon

And as for Bill (BIL pastor) please continue to pray for him as he is scheduled for a follow up colonoscopy tomorrow and I pray for him especially because the first one "slowed something" in there. Again, I thank you all for the prayers for Bill and all of us during the funeral time. It was devastating for all of us!!! It was my worst one since my dad died.

Throughout all of your sadness and pain, I'm so impressed with how you've cared for Bill, John and yourself. They say that coping with the death of a loved one puts the survivors at an increased health risk so self care is so important. I'm proud of you for the courageous way you, Bill and John have coped with this tremendous loss. My prayers for all of you will continue. emoticon emoticon emoticon

So proud that despite your worry and losses you are taking great care of yourself. Celebrate your health and how far you have come.

Your caring and sensitivity for Bill is beautiful also. I will continue to pray as you request. I know Jannette and Bill prayed for Ryan when he had brain surgery and for Natalie when she had major back surgery. They helped us tremendously. I feel certain that both these prayer warriors will benefit from your prayers and caring.

Again, I am sorry I didn't read your blog timely.

Continue to take great care of yourself. I don't know what the winter is like where you are but I also pray that you weather it well. Love, Marsha

My offer still stands Gaye. I can plug you into Luciano's` GPS and be there in an hour. Bill will make the right decision and I already know what it is. It will take time and time alone with God, but he will make the right choice, as God is in control.

Prayers help so much. They help the one who prays as well as the one prayed for. I pray that Bill is surrounded in love and can feel the touch of the Lords hand guiding him through this difficult time.
