One Step at a Time

Losing weight is only a portion of a longer term goal of taking control of my life after post-marriage blues. Nutrition and health will help in preventing anxiety/depression from getting worse, but making new friends is weirdly less of a hanging fruit than losing weight, strangely enough. Even though I’m getting my physical health under control, my mental health still suffers die to cabin fever. Still going a little crazy, just not as much, and it’s now interspersed with mini celebrations, so that’s something. In some ways, losing weight hasn’t really helped anxiety, but maybe it’s helped with depression. This is so different from when I was on a steady positive thinking routine. It seems so far away. I can’t really work on career goals right now because a bankruptcy requires consistent income. So, weight loss is both a first step and a distractor from other ways I need to be at cause.
