Iris Folding

Sunday, January 26, 2020

Iris folding is a paper craft that involves lots of little strips of colored paper, and it is quite easy to do, though it looks pretty complicated. I’ve suggested it for a craft at our church’s Ladies Conference, and here are the samples I assembled:

They can, of course, use any verse that they want, but since, when you work from the back of the project (which looks like a mess of scraps) and don’t see how beautiful the finished project is from the front until you’re completely done, I think the best and most applicable verse is Romans 8:28 “We know that God causes all things to work together for good for them who love God, who are called according to His purposes”.

It makes me think of it as an artistic metaphor.

Anyhow, Simple, but Beautiful.
