Time to face the music

My annual check up is coming up in a couple of weeks. Last time I had failed to lose weight and my numbers were not what they should be. I told the doc that I had been under a good bit of stress and it had caused me to back slide a bit. She was sympathetic and encouraged me to get a grip and do what I know I need to. I thought at the time that it would be easy to do. Little did I know! Things got worse instead of better for me and I really just gave up for awhile.
At Christmas, I finally realized it was time to get back on the wagon but there were so many treats around the house that I wasn't ready to pass up. By the time I was ready to buckle down and work at it, we were a whole week into the new year.

    I might have delayed if I were certain things would be better a month from now or even two months from now. As it is, I want to just get it over with.

    I would delay my exam, thinking I would lose weight before going. It didn't happen. I'm not very good at self care.
