January - gone

So the month has come to an end - all 31 days of it. Was it a good month? Did I succeed in any of my goals? It certainly was a month filled with stuff - good stuff and bad stuff.

The bad stuff I will not talk about as it is in the past and I am not going to live in the past. Live in the present and plan for the future. What was cannot be changed and there is no reason to relive it.

I succeeded in my weight loss - I am losing .5 a pound per week consistently and I am hoping to keep that up. I do not want to lose more than that as I found in the past that I would just put it back on after a few weeks. I have been tracking my food - not always in Sparkpeople - taking pictures of what I eat and getting in more strength exercise. I try for 30 minutes a week and have been pretty good at keeping that as well.

I have also picked up my hobbies and am getting more things sorted. I now have a daily task list (a long with a weekly one, monthly one, 3 month one, and annual one) to keep the place spic and span. Daily tasks also include hobbies and exercise and I bring this spreadsheet up every day to stay on track. Yes there have been days I have not followed this but it is a guideline and things come up to change it.

So I can say that overall I am happy with January. Stunned that it is already over but looking forward to February.

I can do this and this site has given me the support I need. So actually together we can make this journey a great success.

February here we come
