Goals & Gratitude 1/31/20

I am finally feeling more like myself after a week of diverticulitis. Even though the pain was gone as of yesterday, I was just plum exhausted all week. I would go a do short activities (the store for instance) and come home and have to lay down for two or three hours. I barely got through my homework last week as I was so tired. I didn't have the energy even to spark! I was getting worried as I just kept on feeling the same way, but when I woke up today, I knew things were different and I felt much better. I haven't had to lay down today, and the pain is all gone as are the side effects of the disease. I think I am over it!
This is not to say that I over did things today just in case. I worked on a lot of homework this morning and am feeling nice and caught up. I went for a short walk (20 minutes) and to the grocery store. I did some laundry and the dishes. I'm still planning on taking it easy tonight in case I overestimated myself. I am having coffee with a friend in the morning and want to feel good for that. Also, there is a baptism tomorrow evening that I am planning on going to. But I'm really hoping the most of the residual effects of the disease are gone.
Class is going very well. I know how this teacher does things, so I am well prepared for the assignments, and I am enjoying the readings. The class is on Business Law and is very interesting. I will be glad to be done with this class as I have a two month break from school after this, and I am really looking forward to it.
Cookie is doing much, much better. She has stopped throwing up now that she is on regular steroids. I don't like having animals on steroids that much as there are side effects, but I'm going to work on tapering her down and see how little she can be on. I need to call the vet on Monday and get some ideas too. It's nice not to deal with cat vomit and an unhappy animal every morning.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) Finally feeling better.
2) Being almost done with my homework for the week.
3) Clean towels.
