Day 8/600 - meal prepping for the week

Saturday, February 22, 2020

Had a great day. Spent much of today prepping meals for the next few days. Braised some beef cheeks and beef hearts, cooked some chicken wings for dinner - plain, no sticky, sugary sauces....

Will head to the store tomorrow to buy some stuff for my salads. Haven’t had one for some time, and they helped me last time, as they are often more filling, and I don‘t want to have only protein either. Usually mix in some romaine, cucumbers, cheese and just toss it up with some good vinegar.

Caught up on some paper work (not very physical, but needs to be done).

Need to keep myself busy, so I don‘t get bored and start thinking about eating. Tomorrow I may organize my tool cabinet. This has been on my to do list for over a year - and when I say organize, I mean OR-GA-NIZE!!! - this will easily take me the whole day. I can be quite finicky,..... no, truth be told, I am actually very, very finicky when it comes to doing things right.
When I get going, everything has to have it‘s place..... which explains much of my procrastination.

If I don't think I can do it perfectly, I‘d chose not start in the first place, worried I may disappoint myself. I am working on this, as this affects my healthy eating, and weight as well, but also often affects me at work. It‘s the compulsion of wanting to do things perfectly. I am working on it and made progress in many areas, but this is definitely one of my biggest hurdles.

Anyway, knowing what to fix is already a good start. Just need to focus on this. I know I can do this!

Day 8 - 13.1 lbs down - only 186.9 lbs or 592 days to go to 220

I WILL succeed, because I choose to, because I CARE!

C - COMMIT + Plan every day - I choose to see every day as a new opportunity!
A - ACT on my plans consistently - I choose to take the initiative, I own this!
R - RECORD + REVIEW daily - what worked, what didn’t - Celebrate every victory, learn from any challenge!
E - EMBRACE the journey - I choose to own every decision and every choice and will not be derailed by one challenge, by one bad choice!

If the tool box is too overwhelming, how about just laying everything out in categories that you want to have them? Maybe later this afternoon, put the drawers back together the way you want them to be?
