Day 11/600 - not my best day

Tuesday, February 25, 2020

Woke up this morning, having gained about 1.5lbs, water weight I guess. The blood sausages and sauerkraut yesterday were quite salty, so expected a bit of gain.

Then, today I had dinner with a bunch of colleagues. Chose the restaurant (BBQ, meat forward :-) - good for me), had my mind set on what I would eat, placed the orders, paid......problem was that it was all shareable. While I stayed within my calorie target for today I felt I overate. besides, another salt loaded meal is not going to help.

But, I didn’t completely lose the day. Ate well the rest of the day, met my water goal. So, let’s check this off as a learning - chose portion, 1 plate, stick with it. Tomorrow is another day. Another win, tomorrow’s dinner out has been cancelled. So only have to stick out Thursday.

May need a couple of days to recover from the water weight gain, but very optimistic that the week will be a win.

Day 11 - 12.3 lbs down - only 187.7 lbs or 589 days to go to 220lbs

I WILL succeed, because I choose to, because I CARE!

C - COMMIT + Plan every day - I choose to see every day as a new opportunity!
A - ACT on my plans consistently - I choose to take the initiative, I own this!
R - RECORD + REVIEW daily - what worked, what didn’t - Celebrate every victory, learn from any challenge!
E - EMBRACE the journey - I choose to own every decision and every choice and will not be derailed by one challenge, by one bad choice!

If you eat cucumbers, you will lose some of that water weight.. they will keep you close to a seated area, if you get my drift, but they trigger the old kidneys to get moving! Adding salt to them will defeat the purpose, so just eat them with pepper .. or plain.
You are doing great sticking to your plan!

In these situations I like to combat the salt by eating more fresh veggies without salt/dressings/vinegarettes. Think salad greens, cucumbers, bell peppers, carrots etc. And try to drink an extra 24-32oz water. All of this will help to dilute the

It may be helpful to not weigh yourself daily. Obsessing about the scale adds stress to your life, which added stress can also prevent you from losing weight.
