Busted while Venturing over a Hurdle

Alright - so here is an irony... I teach at a gym BUT I am still nervous about going into different sections of the gym. My gym is broken out into various areas...
The pool - that's my area. It's safe, comfortable, filled with people I know
The gym - I have no clue what the inside of this area looks like except for small peaks I've gotten into the small window. It's mostly filled with boys/men playing hoops.
The classroom - That's where the group cardio classes are held. I go in there to say Hi to other instructors before they start their classes
The spin room - Again, never been in there since I can bike in Cardio Machine Land.
Cardio Machine Land - That's where the Elliptical Machines (I love), Dreadmills (I'm okay with), Bikes (It's my go-to lately) and other cardio machines live.
Weight Land - This is the free weight area. The closest I've been to this area is when I use the rowing machine since it's right on the edge of this land.
Weight Machine Land - These are where all the machines with weight plates are located at. I have only ventured into this area a few times and mostly with someone else. Usually, the closest I get to this land is when I am utilizing the mats adjacent to it to stretch out.
Last night, I did 18 minutes on the elliptical and then another 20 minutes on the bike. I still had time left over before class and was going to stretch out but it was like everyone had decided at that time to use the mat area. One guy was going so insane on the mats, he was utilizing and entire 10x20 mat to himself... come on weirdo... move it!
Anyway, I needed to stretch but I also needed mat space, so I was going to have to wait. In the meantime, I ventured into Weight Machine Land... *gasp* on my own. It wasn't too hard... it wasn't too bad. I (cheating in a way) watched the guy that had just vacated the machine and saw where he went. He looked like he knew what he was doing so I just moved to the next machine he had vacated. I was surprised that I had not even thought about the people around me... funny, since I was watching him. He finished his sets on the machines and went to go stretch - which I then did too since the guy taking up the entire mat had finally decided to cease his pseudo last chance workout (irony, I was watching the Biggest Loser while working out).
I ended up near the guy that I had been following while I was stretching out. I was in my zone, stretching, downward dog, planks (yeah 20 seconds), etc. I looked over at him, not really seeing him but he looked over at the same time. He smiled at me and said 'I'm going to the cardio machines next but I know you've already been there, so bummer, you won't be following me there..." BUSTED... I laughed and smiled at him. I explained to him that I wasn't new to the gym but also wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing on the machines. He told me that I could 'follow' him anytime... Smiles were exchanged and slightly flush-faced (hey, he was cute), I scampered off to class to teach.
Hey though... I ventured over the hurdle of Weight Machine Land. Trust me, though, if I see him again... I may just follow him... O;)
