SparkPeople Motivator

Tuesday, March 10, 2020

I was so surprised to open my email and see that I was yesterday's SparkPeople Motivator! I have been away from this site for quite a while (and it shows in my weight). Maybe this was a sign that I need to get back on track. It's good to know, however, that some may still be finding some motivation through things I've written.

So what have I been up to? My life has been so busy. My sweet grandson just turned 4 and he is grandma's boy. They live a couple hours away but I see him every chance I get. I'm still working as a magistrate, but I'm happy to say that I plan to retire at the end of the year and spend more time doing the things I love. My son is helping me make some renovations and repairs to my home so I can put it on the market in a few months. Once it sells, I plan to relocate in the southwest as that's where my heart has always been. I want to spend more time outdoors hiking and traveling with my two new fur babies.

Those who have been my friends over the years may remember that I had an Australian Cattle Dog named Sahara who was full of antics. Sadly, we lost her to cancer last year and she is so missed. Then last fall I came across a picture of two pups (Australian Cattle Dogs, brother and sister and about a year old) at a shelter. They were desperately trying to keep the bonded pair together but everyone only wanted one of them. I called the shelter and learned they were going to separate them for adoption. Well, guess who drove two hours to adopt these two pups and keep them together! I now have double trouble with Soji and Sasha. They are very ornery, but they make us laugh every day and they are loved. Their high energy will give me motivation to get out more as the weather warms.

Thanks again to all and I'm back and working on getting this old body back in better shape for retirement. Hope everyone has a great day!
