Deep Breath in, Slow Breath out....

Friday, March 13, 2020

As y'all know, I work at a major grocery store.

Well, all I can say is My Goodness Gracious!

The last 3 days at the store have been nothing short of insane! People are freaking the heckarooni out!

Our shelves are bare of hand sanitizer, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, bottled water, bread, and more! It gets taken the second we put it out.

I'm telling y'all, I'm deeply concerned for peoples' safety and sanity! Our store opens at 6am, and today there was a line of people waiting to rush in when the door was unlocked. It was crazy busy from that time on.

The public is panicking in my area. I believe it is an unwarranted panic.

Let's all take a deep breath in, and slowly exhale. As many times as it takes to get grounded. To feel the calm within. Let's all do some research on this pesky virus. When we do this we find, that the vast majority of the time, things are not as bad as our imagination has led us to believe. And even if they are bad, there are calm, rational ways to deal with it.

Please, my friends, take the alarmist media with a grain of salt and make a plan to keep yourselves as healthy as possible, without freaking out.

So, my Spark Friends, I am hoping this virus panic ends soon. People don't deserve to live in a state of total insecurity.

It's all gonna be okay. It really will. I wish peace of mind to each of you, and all of my customers too.

I read your blog before my usual weekly trip. I thanked the employees. The previously empty TP aisle was fully stocked. I was quite impressed!

The frenzy--wherever you go is unreal! People are even driving crazy--the other day I had to get some things in Trader Joe's and you would have thought it was right before Thanksgiving--aises were so crammed with people, could not even get by. Costco is close to our house--(never go there though) but the traffic is unreal---long lines waiting to get in, and tons leaving. My husband had to get supplies for his place of work, and he said people were acting like crazy people---running down long aisles to get to toilet paper!! {Even if someone had to be quarantined for a bit---Just how much TP does one need anyway? I heard one guy tell another, "I have my empty bedroom FULL OF TP---stacked to the ceiling!! This is insanity gone hog wild!! {Like you, I am staying calm and not expecting the worst!!

you my dear are a super wise soul ..
    super ..
thank you for sharing your peace ..
yes the world has reacted to a virus in a way I would never imagined ..

yes I do think this could have been man made and created for greed purposes .. or been brewing for years and hidden ..

yet what I know the very most is the love and power of our All Mighty God .. all we have to do is surrender .. give it all to Him .. do my part of course .. He expects us to do what we can to not be total idiots ..
then believe and allow Him to work ..

    All is well ..

    Thank you

People are in a panic where I live. I have seen shoppers with 2 overflowing carts of food. I watched as people went out of the store with cases of toilet paper in their carts. I agree......take deep breaths.

Amazing how so many can panic instead of thinking logically. And taking precautions as have been advised by the medical community. All the toilet paper isn’t going to protect you from a virus. emoticon
