Vintage paper clips

Recently I shredded old tax documents, from 1986 - 2002.
I noticed the sturdy paper clip from 2002 first. The one from 1986 was made of the heaviest gauge wire, with subsequent thinning depending on the year of the forms. Still better than any paper clips I use these days. No, none had rusted.
I’ve been an office worker for most of my life. I notice these little things. DD cracked me up with, “I’m going antiquing - for vintage paper clips!” because of my enthusiasm for them.
And now, working from home, and necessity being the mother of invention, I have found a good use for one of them:
Serendipitous timing, don’t you think?
