The 8:00PM Howl

Get this. It’s amaze-balls. About 45 min away from me a neighborhood has adopted an 8:00Pm howl-fest. Really!

We’ve been pretty respectful of the Shelter in Place here in the Bay Area. I mean, even our Mayor posted a video on how to straighten and style your hair when you can’t get to the salon. Seriously. Look up London Breed with her flat iron. It’s great!

Oops, I got distracted. How ever did that happen during a time like this? Hee.
At 8:00PM everyone comes outside their homes, stands in their driveways, balconies or whatever, and howls at the sky with all of their healthy hearts. It’s wonderful!
The local news asked why they were doing it. One person said it was to show the health care workers that we love them. The kids didnt care of course. They had an excuse to howl!
The dogs looked bothered by it all.

Personally I vote for clapping, but at an early hour. Maybe 6:00PM? Such the rule breaker, I know.

I think we should all start something fun in our neighborhoods to get through this time, don’t you?

The Wave? The Running Man? Chicken Dance? I should stop myself now...
