Some people are just weird

Monday, April 06, 2020

My daughter called today and asked for masks. So did a SIL that wanted to know how much they were. Now why with times the way they are would you make people pay for them???? E my daughter says she's seen them for as much as $5. All they are is 2 pieces of fabric 6" x 9" with a 7 in. piece elastic sewn on each end. Why would you make them to sell when place like nursing homes, care centers , lab workers and so on and so forth need them along with the general public. With my 4 packages ready to ship tomorrow I have 83. Then I have orders for 50 more by early next week. That is as far into the future I'm going to think.

Thank fulls
1. a warm enough for a walk day.
2. found something else to send my daughter for her fund raiser
3. I'm the good kind of tired tonight

Tomorrow will be exciting I get to go to the post office and to town for some groceries and I might even need to fill my car. Guess I'll take a baggie of wipes with me.

There is even a pattern on line for a crocheted face mask! I am planning to make some and send to family members but am still working on my taxes. Hopefully I can start on the masks tomorrow!

That is a LOT of masks!!! It's wonderful that your daughter and SIL know you are the "go to" person to fill this need during an unusual time. Especially where your daughter lives I imagine they will get a lot of use out of them!

Unbelievable , that people would take advantage of charging for making masks for those who don't sew. I would not pay that, that is unacceptable behavior taking advantage of others. I got 2 more masks for us today make one for each of us. I will make at least one more for my husband as he goes out more than I do. He has been going for the groceries, up to the mail box and walks the dog. He really doesn't want me going to the store for groceries--I have several medical problems that puts me in the greater risk category. Still no word from the sewing company about my sewing machine, if they had that many machines in for service, I wish they would have said something.
Enjoy your trip into town tomorrow. One TV announcer here today mentioned it would be nice if no one went to the store and made do with what they have. Nice for her to say, probably has a freezer full of meat, and still can't figure what she has for fresh fruits and veggies that would last another week or two, as that will be the goal here so far for staying home.

I had planned to get bandannas at the store tomorrow with some rubber bands but DH asked a neighbor to make us a couple even though he had a few stocked in the camper by his chemicals in case he needed them when using the chemicals. So have a couple coming our way. You have been an angel making so many and giving them to others. God bless!!

I have seen the cotton masks for sale for $10 for one. I couldn't believe that when most people are giving them away. Tonight I saw one of our neighbors was giving them out to neighbors before she offers them to others. I will have to walk over there tomorrow to pick one up for myself and my husband. Stay safe on your trip to the post office.
