It felt so good to get something done other than cooking or cleaning. I made a trip to our local hardware store. They made the commitment not to do any layoffs. So, they adapted and are offering curbside pick up or they are doing a sold A job of keeping themselves and customers at appropriate social distance. I picked up some spackling compound for my walls, a new rake, and yard waste bags. I raked the smaller part of our yard which is our back/side yard. We have a "postage stamp" city lot. When the house was built it was closer to one side of the property line than the other. And over time it was was added on in the back, so it essentially took away all of the back yard and we only have a side yard. It has a privacy fence along the property line, and then one that divides the front and back. That side yard is almost all dirt and weeds. Very little grass grows there. We are trying to decide if we want to regrade and lay sod or just let it be this year and deal with it next year when we can build a fence. (we have road/sidewalk work happening this year, so we cant do a fence yet.) Anyway, it felt so good to be active and do something.
I did do some work on the wall. I plan to repaint it this week. We have repaired holes from having insulation blown in. I just got some canvas portraits to hang on that wall, so I want those repaired and repainted. So, thats my project for Tues. That gives me some time to clean and prep the wall.
