Going from 300+ to 13.1 Review and Reset

Let me start by saying that this is my version of screaming at the sky and shaking my fist.

I got derailed --by myself --by stay at home orders -- by every excuse in the book -- but really just by myself. My mind was not ready to do this. I don't know if it is now or not, but I won't find out unless I try.

I've reset my entire Spark program. Again. I am data oriented, and I need clear traceable trails to follow. So new goals and a new end game:

1) 10 lbs a month. That's all I need to hit to be happy. More would be nice, but 10 is realistic.

2) Log in, from my laptop, daily. Before bed, on my lunch break from work, doesn't matter...but it has to be from an actual computer. I've tried working from my mobile device for the last few years and it's just not the same. A lot of the functions related to Sparkteams --the most important tool on this site IMO -- just aren't available from the app and the mobile site is not that much better.

3) Start my running plan from scratch. My current weight + laundry list of prior injuries = in tears after walking only 2 miles the other day. Continuing to push the way I had been is both dangerous and impractical at this point. To that end, I'm going to start by focusing on walking. When I can walk that same 2 miles comfortably, I will add another mile...when I am back to being able to walk 5 miles then and only then will I start adding speed.

Three things. I think that's enough for now...and if I can make myself stick to it I will have the foundation set to hit my goal in October of next year.

    Fantastic goals, though I do think losing 10 lbs. a month may be a bit too high. I've been losing 1-2 lbs. a month and I'm happy with that. Would I like it to be more? Sure, but that's all my body will do. I think the walking goals are particularly good. I agree with you that the mobile site isn't very good. I use my phone to track my food sometimes, but I use my computer in the afternoons to do most of my sparking and tracking.
