Further to yesterday's blog, where i mentioned coffee with "dash of milk", I think this might be my demon. I put 200ml in the tracker for milk on cereal and my coffees during the day but I DO NOT MEASURE THIS. (I do measure and track if I pour myself a glass of milk for a snack)
I thought it would be a good idea TO measure this cereal/coffee milk to make sure it wasn't something i was recording incorrectly but forgot this until after I had already bathed my cereal in it this morning and I could see that I had put "too much" in, which reminded me. I measured out 100ml into a lidded cup to keep in the fridge for the day's coffees, and my very first cup used almost half of it. I thought I was using about 10ml per cup of coffee, not almost 50!!!
I do drink a lot of coffee, especially when I'm not at work (maybe 8 or more cups a day at home), so I'm going to start tracking this properly now. an extra 300ml milk a day and the few but daily calories from the coffee itself could easily add up to 1-2 pounds worth of calories that I've NOT been tracking over a month.
I will update this blog at the end of the week with my findings - and an estimate of the weekly calories that I might not have been recording.
It's certainly the right time to swap out some coffees for water!
