Have I mentioned I’m not much of a special occasions person?
I like a solid, pleasant daily routine.
I had started to move toward groceries-on-the-weekend again, when here comes Memorial Day.
Not going out there.
I suppose the weather helps. It’s a rainy, stormy phase, and safe and sound at home is appealing. I still must walk Benji, and that helps me gauge how much human activity is going on.
Enough that I may not get the May trail completely walked! It’s a tough battle with the ‘should’ in my head.
Today at 20:20 (military time) I will go out on my porch to celebrate our city’s high school graduates.
And tomorrow at 3 pm I will go out on my porch to listen for any local trumpeters and-or buglers playing Taps.
Those are my two planned outings this weekend.
And then I resume the work-from-home daily routine for Tuesday through Friday, with Wednesday afternoon taking the car in for an oil change, using leave time. I need to consider whether to continue to request leave during the week to take care of household errands and chores. I mean, they need to be addressed, no matter if work is from home or back on site.
I hope you are enjoying your time this weekend, or finding healthy ways to cope if you’re struggling.
