I'm home for now

Monday, May 25, 2020

My son and I made it back home about 11:15pm Friday night. While getting something out of the car, the car door closed on my right side. Didnt think anything about it. Saturday was a total wash. I was in so much pain from the trip home. My back pain and hip pain was bad from the 450 mile drive. I fell asleep in the recliner and slept there which did help me at all. Laid down on the bed for a short time but couldn't get comfortable. So I slept off and on all day. Yesterday we had to do get a few things. We have to replace the dead bolt on the front door. We have to replace the kitchen faucet. My son had to replace the battery on the riding mower. So we got everything we needed. Grabbed something to eat on the run. Went to pick up an order at Walmart for a good friend. Put gas in the car. Then went to Aldi. By the time we left what little energy I had was gone and my shoulder was starting to bother me. My son got the battery on the mower and mowed while I put groceries up. I felt my right shoulder and it's quite painful to touch. By days end, my collarbone and neck were hurting. My right hip was hurting. So apparently the car door hit harder than I realized. Today, I'm puttering around the house trying to find things and get them put up. Not an easy task at the moment. Plus doing laundry. I'm trying to pace myself since I only got a couple hours of sleep last night. My old entertainment center is slowly collapsing in on itself. I'm trying to get to it but the Guinea pigs are in front of it and I'm too short to reach the stuff. Plus no place to put it. Life is total and complete chaos no matter where I am right now. I just want to push the pause button and reset everything. If only it was that easy. Tomorrow I will call my doctor and get in this week. I need medication refills, blood work done and have him check my shoulder to neck area and my right side hip/back issues. I need to schedule other appointments also but I'm kind of leery of doing too much. People here are running crazy. A few have masks on and are social distancing. The rest are running wild in groups, crowding people. Some of the employees in stores are wearing masks incorrectly. They have them around their chin or their nose is uncovered or there's holes in their masks . I know some restaurants are not abiding by the guidelines because of the number of cars on their parking lots and no one waiting outside. So I won't be going to any eat in restaurants, getting my haircut and wearing my mask to protect others and social distancing. I don't need to get sick. My allergies and asthma are bad enough as it is. Hope you're having a great weekend. Take care of yourself and others. Sending you all love and hugs and prayers
