Healthy pizza--woohoo!!

Saturday, June 06, 2020

Good morning!! I haven't posted much on the way of blogs lately. However, I still think of you all. I wanted to post this blog for a couple days. This pizza was easy to make and delicious. I estimate its around 3.00 for the whole pizza if you have certain things on hand.

I shopped mostly at Dollar Tree for the ingredients. First of all, I bought a pre-made, thin pizza crust at Dollar Tree. The thin crust is less calories than the thick crust pizza. Another idea, I have cooked pizzas with tortillas before and that works out pretty well too!!

Next, I covered the pizza crust with cauliflower alfredo sauce about 2 Tablespoons and lightly covered it. The sauce, I bought at Walmart for a good price. However, any alfredo sauce will do or pizza or tomato based sauce would work too!! Then, I put washed spinach leaves on that layer.

I covered it with part-skim mozzarella cheese that I grated myself. This was about 4 ounces for the whole pizza. Apparently, shredded cheeses are more processed and contain more salt? and preservatives? It is better to grate it yourself. It tastes fresher too.

I took Basil and oregano from my indoor garden and made small pieces and evenly distributed the spices on the pizza. You can use dried if you want. I just am excited as my indoor garden is growing so well. I wish i could share them with you all. Lol!!

The pepperoni, I bought at Dollar Tree. They are individually packaged. This is wonderful for those who don't want a huge package of pepperoni and only want a little. I, also,, bought the turkey bacon there as well and the olives in a can. I, only, used a little of each of these things. Making the cost low. Of course, I cooked the turkey bacon first before putting on the pizza.

You can use the ingredients you like as well. Tomatoes, make a nice touch, as well as mushrooms or even pineapple and ham if that is what you have in the refrigerator. I don't cook with tomatoes as my DD is very sensitive to them.

I think that is everything. It took 5 minutes to prepare and voila!! It was out of the oven in 12 minutes and my DD and I split the pizza.

I hope this inspires the cook in you!! I am grateful for you all and I hope this is a good motivation and idea for you all. Please, be careful and safe and I pray that God protects you and your loved ones. I might post more later perhaps. I found some Dollar Tree items that are awesome. I would like you all to share and post comments on your pizza ideas!! Looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you spark friends!! Sending love and care your way!!
