Last night was our anniversary.

We went to dinner with my son and his family.

Of course the conversation at one point was about George Floyd and Black Lives Matter. What a sad event to live through. I can't imagine what it is like to live life in black skin and not be treated the same as if your skin was white.

I know people treat you differently depending on how you look. When I was young, men would hold the door open for me. In middle age, I opened the door myself. Now with white hair, the door is being opened for me again. This is such a small act compared what happened to George Floyd. I just can't imagine how different by life would be if I was born with a different colored skin.

Unfortunately, you are judged by how you look. This is very sad.

God be with George Floyd's family, friends and all who are affected by this.
