It's been a long time!

Friday, June 12, 2020

So it has been about 1291 days since I last logged into this account. When I first started here I just experienced so much progress and met so many amazing women that became great friends. We all pushed each other to keep working toward out goals and it was just incredibly motivating.

I'm still friends with many of those women but my health goals have really been pushed to the background of my life. I have still complained about the weight that I've put on and every now and then I make an attempt to do something about it. But I never really keep it up until I see some progress. So I think at least for a while, I'm going to go back to what had worked for me. Blogging. Sharing my struggle. Being honest. Being accountable. Hopefully I will see some old friends, and possibly I'll make some new friends.

It's quite strange being back here. The site looks like it really hasn't changed much, which could be a good thing as I try to pick it back up, I suppose.

So hi. I'm Cheryl. I just turned 40 this year. Before covid hit I used to travel all over the country for work, but currently I just work from my home. I live with my boyfriend of eight years and we have no kids and don't plan on having kids. I have an adorably cute dog who is still recovering from a surgery and it battling her intense allergies right now. I'm at my heaviest weight right now and I plan to take that off through a combination of yoga, running, and weights like I did last time. I'm also going to try to add cycling to the rotation since they just extended our local bike trail.

I'm going to try to be as honest as I can about this journey and check in on this blog once a week on Friday or Saturday. Please help keep me accountable!

go to Youtube and look up Stephen Guise and his "MINI HABITS" He started exercise by doing ONE push up each day. It is based on the Japanese Art of Kai-Zen, the one minute rule. Starting is the hardest part of anything, so getting started is the key with the habit.

Go to Youtube and listen to my doctor give an interview. I'm 70 and thanks to the medicine he put me on, I released and have kept off 50# for the past 3 yrs.
