Last Friday was my annual exam. I had to have a new doctor again. I was so anxious. It's not been a great 3 mo and I was anxious about how she would respond. She was kind and supportive and all the positive things that providers should be. We discussed my fragile mental health and started some meds. We discussed my meds and had blood work done. My cholesterol was still pretty good. My A1C was not. She supported my efforts to eat low carb and said we could recheck in 6 mo if I wanted to. So, since Friday I've been cleaning up my diet again. So that's good. My gym opens this week but I will not be returning. So, I gotta figure out a way that I can get some movement while home all the time with my kids.

Happy you have a supportive practitioner. That's 3/4 of the battle in staying healthy, because if you can talk about issues freely, they can get addressed. It's so important to be heard, too!

    Good luck to you.

Great that you found someone who will work with you, good support. Take a bit of time to explore options for activity with your kids, hopefully with good weather you can all get outdoors and enjoy free movement and fresh air. emoticon

Having a supportive doctor makes a huge difference , when you need to go see the doctor.
My doctor, also a female is always nice, but this time she said she wanted to start riding the stationery bike we have in our home twice a day, 10 minutes each time She said to cut down on my carbs. too.. So that is what I am doing as even on insulin my blood sugars have been high lately again.
