Cancelled my Gym Membership

I have been having really good success with my exercise program from home. I mostly use the treadmill and lift hand-held weights. Even though this country is moving forward with re-opening everything, I cancelled my gym membership this week due to the fact that I do not feel safe using the gym since the COVID 19 pandemic hit. Just because the gyms are open, doesn't mean the virus has gone away. I don't understand how gyms can ever be safe again since (in my opinion) people sweat and breathe hard to get a good work out. How is that safe since I am sure there will be those who will not wear a mask or face covering. or follow all the precautions necessary. Also, how can every nook and cranny and every piece of equipment be sanitized completely. Please understand that this is my own personal opinion and if others feel safe, I say go for it.

I also have to point out, on the other hand, that I do regret not being able to use the gym because I won't have the same variety of exercise at home that I would at the gym. So, I don't know if this will stall my progress. I guess its a risk I feel I must take since I am in the high risk category (68 years old). STAY SAFE EVERYONE!

    BRAVA - look at you go, working out without a gym! I hope the weather holds up so you can get some time outside.

    Healthy eating will help keep up your immunity, too - I've been away for a bit, but it looks like you've been KILLING IT!
