I love seeing nature in all its glory, however, the little Red Winged black birds are another thing. I have never had any problems with Canadian geese, love them in fact. Those red winged black birds have many occasions attacked the back of my head. I not going near their nest, and I always stay on the bike path. They are way too territorial. Just had to vent.

They are very protective of their nest. This year for the first time I got chased by some crows when I got too close to their nest 229 days ago
