I Am A Healthy Weight

Wow. I was NOT expecting to step on to the scale this week and see a number under 140 pounds. As you'll see if you read my last blog post, I went on a major junk food binge last week and weighed in at 147.4 pounds right after. A lot of that must have been water weight, because after just one week of sticking to healthy eating and exercise, I stepped on the scale this morning and... boom. 139.4 pounds.

I did a happy little dance and everything! Because that was NOT what I was expecting. I thought I was going to have to wait at least another week or two to reach this huge, huge milestone. I have been overweight my entire life and now I'm finally where I've always wanted to be-- at a healthy weight, which is under 141 pounds for the 5'3" woman that I am. I feel great, both emotionally and physically. And I can't wait to transition from weight loss to weight maintenance once I put just a few more pounds between me and that overweight BMI range.
