...and now school will be gearing up

Monday, August 17, 2020

Where has the time gone? I ask that a lot.

In reference to this season's 5% challenge, I have not used the time to create new helathy habits. Maybe I even took a step or two backwards...not riding the bicycle as much. Not preparing healthy snack (like boiled eggs) ahead of time.

Here's cut/paste of my weight tracker from the challenge:

Starting weight 07/04/20: 179.4 lbs
Starting BMI ~29
Goal weight: 150 lbs
5% goal for this challenge: -9 lbs
Starting combined body measurement: 122.5

Week 1 07/11/20: 177 lbs Whoo hoo!
Week 2 07/18/20: (posted late: Sun 8:47 am 179 lbs)
Week 3 07/25/20: 179.4 lbs
Week 4 08/01/20: 179.0 lbs
Week 4 Combined body measurement: 119.5 checking again, can that be correct?
Week 5 08/08/20: 179.8
Week 6 08/15/20: 180.0
Week 7 08/22/20: Aack! what can I do to gently motivate myself
Week 7 or 8 Combined body measurement:
Final Weigh-In 08/29/20:

What can I do to gently motivate myself? I don't want to chastise myself. I would sure like to shed/release some of the weight I am carrying.

Look at how your body is changing instead of the scale. Of course, keep an eye on it. Looks like you have a good game plan, I think we all are having a hard time being motivated right now so as you said don't

I have been stuck in the 170s for 6 months. Up and down like I was jumping on a pogo stick. I had one really good week this challenge but it was the week I spent 4 days in the hospital with my daughter who had an infection. Not exactly the kind of thing I am hoping to reexperience so I am trying to find something that will work..... one week at a time.

Good luck and just take it one hour, one day, one week at a time.

How about setting one new goal and not moving onto another until the first has become a habit? You certainly had an NSV seeing your combined measurement at the 1/2 way mark. emoticon emoticon emoticon
