We drove from Los Angeles to Bow, Washington. We spent the night at a Pilot Rest Stop in Weed, California. When we got to Washington, we stopped by my husband's friend ex wife house. The first night we stayed in a rest stop along the 5 freeway. My husband didn't want to make our reservation for the camp site on Friday because he didn't want to be driving in the Hills at night. When we got to Arlington, it was already dark. Saturday and Sunday night we stayed at the camp site. We went there to visit the friend and look around Washington. But my husband's friends ex wife cleared her schedule to spend time with us. So after we all visited the friend, my husband and I went into Seattle for awhile and then came back and went to dinner with the ex wife., She took us to a Soul Food place. I was looking for some Smothered Pork Chops, rice and gravy and yams. No such thing. My husband and I had the chicken and waffles, while Pat had the catfish, greens, beans, and corn bread. She wants to keep in touch and is supposed to be coming out here in the beginning of next month. She has family here. My husband said, if she wants to go to dinner, we are going to take her to get some real soul food. My husband insisted on paying for her dinner and she got the tip.
The next day, Sunday, we went again to visit the friend. This time the friends daughter and her three sons went. Afterwards my husband and I drove to the Canadian Border. Our goal was to get back to our camp site before dark because we were up in the mountain in the woods. But both nights we came in late. On our first night we had to ask a couple where row E was. They were A - F, and we were on E. We got up on Monday and headed back to Cali. We text Pat as we were rolling down the highway.
