What a Time!

Last week I stopped by urgent care to. have my cold checked out. While they didn't think it was COVID they did a test (still don't have results) and just said to rest and stay home for 10 days. Have basically been quarantining and taking it easy with walks outside and stretching. Cold is gone and feel MUCH better.
At the same time I sort of took a break from being so careful with my eating and that's OK. Nearing nine (yes 9) years since I embarked on this healthy life journey. Funnily enough that even though I have been more relaxed since my tastes have changed I still tend to choose healthy options! Next week we go back to life as usual and already have a vegetarian chick pea Moroccan soup for Meatless Monday ready to make.
I got the results from my bone density scan and found out that the osteopenia is now osteoporosis
My doctor suggested Fosomax which I am now taking once/week. We'll be monitoring this and have another bone density scan in about 2 years.
Today I had my training with Common Cause, a non partisan group that helps to ensure fair elections. I signed up for social media monitoring - answering questions and correction misinformation and flagging disinformation (of which there will likely be alot!). Here in NY we have early voting starting 10/24 so our work starts then.
Meanwhile putting my news watching/reading on a diet so I don't go crazy! Just started Jeff Toobin's book and so far it is gripping! Switching back and forth between political non fiction (which actually read like fiction
) and light rom/coms.....
And that's it from NY. Hope you are all having a great week.
