I started the day with the hairbrained idea to get 120 minutes of exercise to help propel my Fall 5% Challenge Team to the destination. I thought I'd walk away from home for an hour, then walk back home for an hour.
Problem: restrooms.
None of the public restrooms are open.
So I reverted to yesterday's walking plan: a mile at a time, in loops, returning home to use the facilities if need be.
Between trying to get those minutes for the Fall Challenge, and getting miles toward my 100-mile Corona Lisa challenge (thank you, Marathon Training Academy), plus the beautiful fall day - I had plenty of reasons/motivation to keep going.
But after 4 miles and 75 minutes, I was tired and hungry.
I stopped to eat lunch.
The spirit was willing, so I then proceeded to the basement exercise bike. My legs felt tired the moment I started to pedal. I managed to get 15 minutes.
And then I was done.
Done for today.
No point in breaking myself.
I thought I could do it ... but not today! Maybe someday before the end of the Fall Challenge. And maybe not. Whether or not I can get a 120-minute day will depend on what my intuition tells me and what it 'feels' like at the time. And whether I can prioritize 120 minutes in one day for exercising - that's a lot of time!0
I'm very close to the 80-mile level (virtual badge) for Corona Lisa. AND - MTA has added every-10-mile badges up to 200 miles! I already have my eye on the 120 mile "Overachiever" badge. How I'm going to get there with temperatures cooling and time changes taking away daylight hours ... that's something I'll learn or figure out!
It's always good to be reaching for something, looking forward to something. At the moment for me it's that 120-minute exercise day and-or the 120-mile Overachiever Level badge.

What's your goal? What are you reaching for and-or looking forward to?
